Building Futures: Paud Mercy Oesena School Project

PAUD Mercy Oesena is located in Nekmese Village, Kie District, South Central Timor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Established in 2019 by Mr. Nehemia Selan, this early childhood center was founded out of concern for young children who had no access to early education due to distance and limited facilities. For more than five years, teaching and learning activities have taken place in a very simple and inadequate building with a thatched palm-leaf roof, woven bamboo walls, and a dirt floor covered only by a thin mat. Despite these challenging conditions, the children continue to learn with enthusiasm, and the teachers remain committed. Through the “Building Futures: PAUD Mercy Oesena School Project”, Mercy Indonesia seeks to construct a proper and child-friendly school building. This project will provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive learning environment where children can grow, play, and develop their potential during their most critical early years.
