




Building self-contained boys-girls toilet block complete with septic tank system for safe, sustainable waste management
The project is to construct separate girls and boys toilets in one 3m x 1.5m block; each toilet measures 1.5m x 1.5m with the effluent directed to a single septic tank system designed for safe, sustainable waste management. EBPP Manikaji School, serving 91 students in a remote Ban village mountain hamlet, urgently needs separate new boys’ and girls’ toilets. The previous toilet block was damaged in an earthquake and the lack of proper sanitation facilities poses health risks and affects students’ dignity and learning environment. Each toilet will have locking doors, with gender clearly stated on the outside of the doors

The construction of safe and gender-separated sanitation facilities at EBPP Manikaji School will create a healthier, more dignified, and supportive learning environment for 91 students and the teachers. By improving access to proper sanitation, the project will reduce health risks, enhance student well-being, and strengthen the foundation for consistent school attendance and academic success.
