Emergency Leprosy Care For Kori Motto

Kori Motto is living with a severe, progressive illness consistent with advanced leprosy, which has caused significant damage to his hands and feet. The condition has led to loss of sensation, visible deformities, chronic wounds, and increasing difficulty with mobility and daily tasks. Without appropriate medical intervention, these complications can worsen over time, leading to further disability, infection, and long-term harm. At present, Kori has not received a comprehensive specialist assessment or a clear medical plan. Access to appropriate healthcare remains limited, leaving him without proper diagnosis, guidance, or ongoing treatment support. This lack of medical clarity has resulted in unmanaged pain, preventable injuries, and continued deterioration of his condition. This project exists to provide Kori with access to professional medical care, establish an accurate diagnosis, and create a clear pathway forward for treatment and management. In addition to medical evaluation, the project aims to support his immediate wellbeing by ensuring he has the basic resources needed to reduce pain, protect vulnerable areas of his body, and improve daily quality of life. All content shared has been approved by Kori’s family and is presented with dignity, respect, and transparency. Updates will be provided as the project progresses to ensure donors can clearly see how support translates into real-world outcomes. This intervention represents a critical first step toward stabilising Kori’s health, preventing further damage, and restoring hope through access to proper medical care and informed next steps.
