Providing Safe Homes For Elderly

Mercy Elderly Home Center, located in Negara, West Bali, is currently home to 33 elderly residents from various regions across Indonesia. Each of them arrives with a different life story. Many were abandoned, no longer able to work, forced to move from one place to another, and living without consistent care or family support. One of the residents is Mr. Supriadi from Java, who came to Bali in search of work. Due to his age and physical condition, he was no longer able to work and had to move between elderly care facilities with poor living conditions. His life changed when a church member introduced him to Mercy Elderly Home. After more than two years living here, he now enjoys peace, friendship, proper care, and a renewed sense of belonging. Mercy Elderly Home is more than just a shelter. It is a place where the elderly receive: 1. A safe and secure place to live 2. Basic medical care supported by local hospitals 3. A supportive community and companionship 4. Productive activities such as raising chickens and selling eggs at the local market to support daily needs. As the number of elderly residents grows and facilities remain limited, the need for proper housing development and improvement becomes increasingly urgent. Through this campaign, we aim to build and improve elderly housing so that seniors can live their later years in safety, dignity, and peace.
