Urgent Medical Treatment For Sisilia (Sumba -> Bali)

Sisilia is a young child from Sumba, Indonesia, suffering from severe chronic anemia, malnutrition, and suspected cardiac strain, which has led to difficulty breathing, extreme weakness, and delayed physical development. Local doctors have advised urgent escalation of care, as her condition cannot be safely managed with limited rural medical resources. In addition to systemic illness, Sisilia is showing signs of significant scalp and skin disease, likely related to chronic infection and nutritional deficiency. Without timely treatment, these conditions may lead to permanent hair loss (scarring alopecia), ongoing skin infections, and long-term health complications. Early medical intervention significantly improves the chance of recovery and reduces the risk of irreversible damage. This project seeks to urgently transfer Sisilia to Bali for specialist pediatric assessment, treatment, and close monitoring in a setting with appropriate medical facilities. Funds raised will be used to cover flights for Sisilia, her mother, and a local Effortx foundation leader Dimas, accommodation during treatment, food and water, local transport, and essential medical support while in Bali. All funds will be administered directly by Effortx Foundation to ensure transparent and accountable use for medical care, accommodation, transport, and basic living needs during treatment. Regular updates and receipts will be provided to donors and posted on social media throughout the process. This intervention is time-sensitive and focused on stabilising Sisilia’s health, preventing long-term and potentially permanent complications, and giving her the opportunity for recovery and a healthier future.
